Me and Schlammi doing balancing test work on Styx map, good times, should be hard for stock truck but not impossible. I made Styx map when i had about 1000 hour in Spintires, so i build in "some" difficulty ) I enjoy Sandy Coast back in the day, maybe not so difficult but nice. The Plateau, Its very old, gamey, and brutal. TATA maps are said to be very good, but i never try them. DPI maps(Dexter Paris) are high quality but not so difficult. Blackwater maps, several like Canyon or Mojave Green or El Bosque Bravo, all brutal log maps(can also trail on them i guess). In no particular order you should get all of them on the strongest plus this game has is the mod community and how quick they are to throw out maps and trucks and stuff to keep your game entertaining as well.Mate i wont search you the links as they are many let me write some down from memory. It's too bad, really, that so many people are finding it so easy and so dull when there's an incredibly tense, difficult, and satisfying game sitting right there that they already paid for. And while you may be bored with the game you are playing, I am certainly not bored with the one I'm playing. In the end, the game on easy is easier, and on hard is harder. That being said, I still don't think it's entirely fair to blame the game for focusing more on the log delivery side of things, when that is the core mechanic of the game, rather than the exploration side of things that has been left more to the mod community to fulfill. I like a different type of challenge than you do, obviously, and I am neither more right nor more wrong for that and neither are you.

My game is the log delivery one, yours is the exploring one. Now as to the "boredom/too easy" aspect - I think the breakdown in communication we're having is down to this game being two different games, really. That actually makes sense from a programming standpoint, because new players will like an easier overall experience to dive into, while the old-school hardcore players will want it ramped up.

Okay, so as far as I can tell the answer to the difficulty question is that hardcore now is actually harder than hardcore then, while casual is easier now than casual was then. One more go at it, see if I can phrase it elegantly enough.
